What is the best green energy source available to Australians as a whole?
I'm having trouble deciding what is the best renewable energy source in Australia, considering cost, effectiveness, and cost of repair. Please help. Australian based answers only.

- solar.
- The wind and the sun
- Down under. Australia lays on hot grounds. It means that digging down not too deep underground (down under) one finds hot stuff. Use this heat to build steam turbines.
- i think that the sun and wind power is best. God bless, gabe
- hampster in a wheel
- Australia as a country-continent in a relatively hot climate, has various possibilities on renewable energy. 1. Solar Energy (as the country has hot and sunny climate) 2. Wind Energy 3. Tidel Energy (a lot of sea shore) 4. WVO, Waste Vegetable Oil (why throw the used oil, turn it into bio-diesel and drive) Hope this helps. Happy Green Energising!!!
- As in America the sun if all homes are fitted with solar powered hot water heaters the fuel and energy savings would be allowing us to use less fossel fuels cleaner air reduced electric costs for the homeowners OH OH what am I saying won' t work as it is killing the power companys profits, dumb me .
- considering cost effectiveness and repair a wind turbine would be most suitable if you are able to put one up....... They are actually fairly cheap and have the quickest payback time. The best renewable at the moment in the australian outback desert is the single blade turbines and solar chimneys but these are only being buit in large scales and are still prototypes.
